Team Cardiac: Lifesaving Experience mit Val Woods

The Brooklyn Public Library – Brooklyn Heights Branch welcomes Brooklyn native Val Woods for a special Team Cardiac: The Heartbeat of Heroes® experience on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. A Cleveland nurse, CPR instructor, and children’s author, Woods is returning home to Brooklyn to share lifesaving skills with the next generation. Through literacy, heart health, CPR/AED awareness, and hands-on learning, children and families will explore what it means to know what to do, have the courage to act, and be a Heartbeat Hero. This engaging, family-friendly experience is designed to build confidence, preparedness, and a willingness to help when an emergency happens. Free admission.
